Lil Tjay found himself in an unexpected situation this week when he was served legal documents while livestreaming with popular streamer N3on. The viral clip shows the two standing outside a storefront when a man suddenly walks up to the Bronx rapper, hands him an envelope, and says, “You’re served,” before quickly walking away. Caught off guard, Tjay and N3on appear confused and try to figure out what the documents are for.
The clip of Lil Tjay being served has been making the rounds online, leading to widespread speculation among fans. Many have questioned whether the moment was authentic or simply staged for attention. Some viewers raised concerns about how easily the process server approached him, pointing out a potential double standard based on race. Meanwhile, others are still trying to figure out what exactly the legal papers were related to.
While the internet debates the legality and authenticity of the incident, Lil Tjay has other major projects in motion. A new documentary on his life is in development through a collaboration between Hangtime and Standard Projects. Co-CEO Frida Torresblanco shared her thoughts with Variety, saying: “Witnessing a young man transform pain into purpose is what moved me to begin the journey to tell Lil Tjay’s story… His voice shows young people that beauty can arise from hardship.”
On the music front, Tjay dropped his latest single “Me Again” earlier this month, following his 2024 album Farewell. Despite the distractions, he continues to stay active in both music and storytelling.
