Latto is shutting down another rumor after a video went viral of a woman claiming to be her estranged sister. The woman alleged that she and Latto share the same father, and that the rapper chooses not to acknowledge her. Once the clip hit social media, fans began debating whether the story was true, prompting Latto to hop on X (formerly Twitter) to respond. “Y’all believe anything in bold font when it come to me,” she wrote, making it clear she wasn’t buying into the claim.
Supporters quickly chimed in, with one fan joking, “Bold font? Girl, they be believing italics, underline, and invisible ink when it’s about you.” Others weren’t as sympathetic, arguing that Latto lets rumors spread unchecked. One critic commented, “It keeps you relevant and you don’t check sh*t being said about you. You like it and laugh because it brings you money. True or false, you still don’t check it.”
The video behind all the speculation shows a woman on TikTok insisting that she and Latto share the same dad. “They tryna figure out why Latto don’t claim me and sh*t. Y’all guess is as good as mine,” she says. She adds that she plans to reveal more details later: “I’m not giving them too much. I’m not spilling too much, but when I do write that book and do that podcast, she’s gonna be mad. I’mma give the people what they need to know.” She then reiterates: “Same daddy.” According to her, the reason Latto won’t acknowledge her is because she’s “the broke sister.”
This situation isn’t the only rumor Latto has had to address recently. In October, she pushed back against claims that she and 21 Savage were expecting a baby, telling fans she just had “Too much wagyu & ramen.” While the pair usually keep their relationship low-key, Latto confirmed to TMZ in September that he is her “man” and her “husband.”
