Atlanta rapper Karrahbooo, born Karrah Schuster, was arrested over the weekend in Cobb County following an alleged altercation at the Coca-Cola Roxy.
Authorities say the 28-year-old struck a venue employee in the face during an event on June 1. According to arrest warrants, surveillance footage shows Schuster pushing past security before physically assaulting a staff member. She was charged with simple battery and released on a $1,000 bond.
The incident unfolded at the high-traffic venue near Truist Park, a popular destination for concerts and nightlife in metro Atlanta. Police allege Schuster “intentionally caused physical harm” during the confrontation, though no further details about the circumstances or the victim’s condition have been released. The incident marks a dramatic shift for the artist, who had steadily built a name in Atlanta’s crowded rap landscape with her unbothered delivery and sharp, melodic verses.
Karrahbooo began making waves in 2022 with local freestyles and viral singles that caught the attention of Lil Yachty. In early 2023, she joined his label and rap collective, Concrete Boys, quickly becoming a breakout figure within the crew. Her standout tracks like “Running Late” and “RIP Follies” helped her cultivate a loyal fan base, particularly among younger audiences drawn to her mix of humor and grit.
Her affiliation with Lil Yachty boosted her visibility, but behind the scenes, their partnership began to fray. By July 2024, Karrahbooo had officially exited Concrete Boys amid reports of creative differences and personal tension. Neither party offered a detailed explanation, though fans noted a noticeable distance in public appearances and social media interaction.
Since her split from Yachty, Karrahbooo has continued to release music independently, aiming to redefine her identity outside of the collective. However, this recent arrest threatens to overshadow that progress. While some fans have rallied in support, others express concern over her behavior and future trajectory.
The incident also highlights ongoing conversations around conflict management and accountability in hip-hop, particularly for emerging female artists navigating a male-dominated space. As Karrahbooo’s legal situation unfolds, the industry will watch closely to see whether she can turn this controversy into a catalyst for growth—or if it marks the beginning of a setback she may struggle to recover from.
