50 Cent addresses the longstanding alleged feud with Diddy.
During a recent interview with Good Morning America, 50 Cent and Alex Stapleton discussed their new docuseries, SEAN COMBS: THE RECKONING.
When asked about the years-long feud that has followed both moguls throughout their careers, 50 didn’t hesitate to offer his take. While the two have exchanged slick comments and subtle jabs over the years, the Queens rapper suggested that the public perception has been amplified — though he made it clear he still stands firm on his views.
“What they consider a pre-existing beef, right? For 20 years, right? It’s me being uncomfortable with [Diddy] suggesting that he takes me shopping.” 50 Cent told GMA, referencing the recent wave of controversies and lawsuits that have surrounded Diddy. He explained that the two were never close. I looked at it as like — it was like a tester, like, ‘maybe you’ll come play with me,’ type of thing. It’s not personal.”
Still, 50 has made a hobby of trolling Diddy online, especially as the Bad Boy founder faces heightened legal scrutiny.
Fans immediately reacted to the interview online — some saying 50’s comments were expected given the pair’s long history, while others noted that the ongoing tension continues to be one of hip-hop’s most enduring cold wars.
