It’s no secret. Everything Michael Jordan says is very important to the culture.
Last year, N.O.R.E. made big news when he revealed a story where he claims that “Air” Jordan said “f*** rap” during an interview on the Rap Radar podcast.
“I seen him shut Redman down at a Def Jam Christmas party,” he said. “We were all sitting there waiting to speak to Michael Jordan. N****s said, ‘Yo, Redman and Method Man is here.’ [MJ] said, ‘F*** rap.’ I seen the n***** say that.”
Jordan denied that ever happened with a statement through his rep on TMZ, “MJ wasn’t at this party, doesn’t know N.O.R.E., and is a fan of ALL music.”
Fast forward to this week where he was asked who his favorite artist was right now. He didn’t say JAY-Z, or even Kendrick Lamar or J. Cole. He did choose an artist that has had a history of some big hits. Jordan called Drake his favorite rapper.
Interesting.
This joins a big week in soundbites from Jordan where he responded to LaVar Ball’s statements that he would beat him on one-on-one.
Check out his comments below.
