Trey Songz’ legal woes could be coming to an end soon — well at least one of them. According to RadarOnline, the two women that accused the singer of sexual assualt in 2015, have had their lawsuit dropped.
Court documents obtained by RadarOnline revealed that the singer’s alleged victims would be dropping their complaint, however there is one caveat: The case has a chance to be refiled in the future. The suit stems from a 2015 incident where a pair of women – who names have yet to be revealed — claimed Songz forced himself on them at party of his in Los Angeles.
The pair met the singer during the summer of 2015, after attending one of his concerts. They were later invivted to an afterparty that same night. Per the documents, the women established a rapport with the 39-year-old, and would link up with him again at a birthday party held in his house a short time later. The women alleged they were not only forced to reqlinqish their phones, but claim they had been drugged.
Apparently, Songz took advantage of them women after having passed out in an upstairs bedroom. As expected, Songz and his attorney Michael Freedman have since denied the allegations.
“This is yet another example of nearly decade-old allegations being repurposed to take advantage of California’s constitutionally questionable new look back window,” he told TMZ at the time of the filing. “We look forward to vindicating Trey on the merits in court.”
