Justice was not served for Breonna Taylor.
We reported earlier today that only one out of the three officers will be indicted. Brett Hankison, who was fired from the force a few months ago, is only facing three counts of Wanton endangerment. This charge is for putting the neighbors at risk when the multiple shots were fired. So ultimately, his charge has nothing to do with the actual murder of Breonna.
The other two cops, Jonathan Mattingly and Myles Cosgrove will not face any charges. Bret also has a $15,000 cash bond. His charge is a class d felony, punishable up to 5 years.
Black Lives Matter advocate Tamika Mallory offers advice for angry protesters. She says it’s important to remain peaceful and not violent.

Social media is heartbroken and furious, take a look:
This country does not value Black life. Will they ever? Probably not. Will we stop fighting? No

This is heartbreaking. No actual charges for the killing of #BreonnaTaylor. Our system of justice is broken. https://t.co/qzz1gcOcE4

It’s all kind of numbing. On one hand it’s like I KNOW I’m not crazy there’s a real problem in our country. On the other I’m sad that everyone doesn’t see it and some don’t want to. Of course I know God is at work. It’s just tough to process it all. #BreonnaTaylor https://t.co/b1ALKdkRS3

#BreonnaTaylor wasn’t “lost” to her family. She was killed by three cops that shot up her home while she was sleeping while they were at the wrong address looking for someone who had already been brought into custody.

So basically the real problem with murdering #BreonnaTaylor was that shooting so many times risked possibly hurting some white people living nearby? https://t.co/Jnyc7XNWzY
