Five Raleigh, North Carolina firefighters are set to face consequences following the filming of a music video at a Raleigh Fire Department firehouse, according to  WRAL News.

The video was recorded on Jan. 29 at Fire Station 12, according to the Raleigh Fire Department. Raleigh Professional Firefighters Association Local 548, representing Raleigh firefighters, confirmed that five firefighters would be disciplined for their part in the incident.

“We’re aware of disciplinary actions taken against our members for the Jan. 29 incident at Station 12. We’re delving deeper to ensure all rules were followed,” Local 548 told WRAL News.

The video, titled “Fire Drill,” was shared on YouTube by local rapper CEO Showoutt. It featured firetrucks with flashing lights parked inside the firehouse as the backdrop for his latest single.

When reached for comment, the Raleigh Fire Department issued a statement acknowledging the rap video and stating an ongoing investigation.

WRAL News reached out to CEO Showoutt regarding the department’s statement, but the rapper did not respond directly, instead posting on Instagram that he had obtained permission for the shoot and denied any wrongdoing.

“It’s puzzling how this is under investigation. I got the green light,” he said. “Talk to the fire departments…I didn’t do anything wrong.” The frequency of music video shoots at Raleigh Fire Department firehouses remains unclear, and it’s uncertain if this incident will prompt policy changes.

The names of the disciplined firefighters have not been disclosed, with WRAL News actively seeking clarification on their involvement in the video.
