Iman Shumpert Shares Heartfelt Message Following His Father’s Passing

Iman Shumpert mourns the loss of his father, Odis Wayne Shumpert II.

In a touching Instagram post, Shumpert pens, “Down goes the King…a sweet goodbye to the greatest man I’ll ever know. You can take your rest pop, u did ur shit I promise..”

“I don’t know if I’ll ever fit ur shoes but ima have em on everyday anyway. I love you man..Rest In Paradise Odis Wayne Shumpert II” the message continued.

His peers showered him with love and support. “I lost my father recently & i know this type of pain all to well. My deepest condolences goes out to you and your family..” responded one fan.

“As someone who has lost a parent, I wouldn’t wish this pain on my worst enemy! My condolences to him and his family!” responded another.

Iman recently shared a clip via Instagram where he had his late father on an episode of his podcast, with his brother Ahrii Shumpert. In the clip, Odis says he was not interested in play his sons in a game of basketball. “Odis Shumpert wasn’t risking the 1v1 matchup with Iman and Ahrii…”
