Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is expanding her influence in the beauty world with the 2025 relaunch of the Cécred x BeyGOOD Fund.

Through her Cécred haircare brand and BeyGOOD Foundation, she’s committing $500,000 to support salon owners, barbers, and cosmetology students across the U.S. This initiative reflects Beyoncé’s deep investment in empowering beauty professionals and uplifting communities often overlooked.

Of the total fund, $370,000 will be distributed as $10,000 grants to 37 salon and barbershop owners struggling financially. These grants, which don’t require repayment, are meant to cover challenges like rising rent and equipment costs. The application deadline is June 13, 2025, but the resources offered extend beyond a single round of funding.

Originally limited to five cities in 2024, the program now accepts applicants nationwide. Licensed professionals with at least two years of experience must provide proof of ownership or a lease and show financial hardship. Applications are available through the official Cécred x BeyGOOD Grant page.

In partnership with the National Minority Supplier Development Council, the fund also offers mentorship and business development tools. Even those not selected may benefit—40% of applicants will receive group coaching and assistance with securing Minority Business Enterprise certification.

Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother and Vice Chair of Cécred, draws on her own salon experience to shape the fund’s mission. She emphasizes the importance of empowering stylists, calling the industry a space of pride, identity, and entrepreneurship.

Beyond supporting established professionals, the fund allocates $130,000 for scholarships at five cosmetology schools. These institutions—known for inclusive curricula—help future stylists gain training without financial strain.

Salons and barbershops are cultural sanctuaries, especially in communities of color. They foster identity, connection, and creativity. The Cécred x BeyGOOD Fund invests in preserving that legacy by offering financial stability and long-term resources.

As stylists and supporters flood social media urging others to apply, the initiative’s impact grows. Beyoncé’s effort is more than philanthropy—it’s a reflection of her roots, values, and belief in beauty as a force for change.
