Nigerian rapper Asake abruptly ended his show in Baltimore last night (Oct. 9) after one of his security guards allegedly reported that a gun was stolen.

1805 Entertainment, the tour producers, took to their Instagram account to apologize to fans. They claim that the show could not continue due to factors beyond their control and that they wanted to ensure the “safety and security of everyone.”

“We deeply regret that things didn’t go as planned and we are truly sorry for all confusion and inconvenience,” the statement read. “We had the greatest of intentions to bring you an amazing show, but there were factors tonight that simply fell beyond our control. The safety and security of everyone in attendance was our number one concern.”

The company continued, “Both 1805 and Asake share nothing but love and respect for all of his supporters. We will do everything we can to make it right, and we hope to have the opportunity to share another experience with you soon.”

Asake is currently on his “Mr. Money With The Vibe Tour” following the release of his highly anticipated debut album Mr. Money With The Vibe, which became the highest charting Nigerian debut album of all-time. It entered at No. 66 on the Billboard 200 chart. The sold out show in Baltimore was supposed to close out the North American leg of his tour.

In the viral clip, you can see some of the fans leaving the concert in disappointment. A few of them went on Twitter to express their concerns about the turn out. One Twitter user said, “So Asake performed just three and a half songs [and] left?? After we waited in the cold for almost two hours?”

“Stood in #Asake line (Baltimore) for hours [and] they were not allowing people in….started pepper spraying people [and] all we trying to do is get in the concert bruh. Make it make sense. Only one person checking ID’s and tickets,” wrote Radianceofchels.
