Many people are outraged after seeing a viral video of a Buffalo, NY cop pushing a 75-year-old peaceful protestor, causing his head to crack on the concrete.
The horrible incident happened in front of Buffalo’s City Hall on Thursday night (June 4). The man who was shoved in the video is identified as Martin Gugino. He suffered critical injuries reported on Daily Mail. The two officers involved are under a criminal investigation.
Following the situation, the entire Emergency Response Team has now resigned, according to the Buffalo Police Benevolent Association. Buffalo News 4 reporter Dave Greber Tweeted the officers resigned to “show support for the officers who are suspended without pay after shoving Martin Gugino, 75. They are still employed, but no longer on ERT.”

Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown addressed the matter on Twitter and said he was deeply disturbed by it and called it “disheartening.” New York Governor Andrew Cuomo called for criminal charges to be made against the officers.

This incident is wholly unjustified and utterly disgraceful.
I've spoken with Buffalo @MayorByronBrown and we agree that the officers involved should be immediately suspended pending a formal investigation.
Police Officers must enforce — NOT ABUSE — the law. https://t.co/EYIbTlXnPt
