Earlier this week, the Eminem vs Joe Budden beef came back into the conversation in hip hop after a leaked verse originally meant for Conway the Machine’s 2019 single “Bang” was released.
Following the leak, Slim Shady decided to apologize for the distraction the verse has been making as we as Americans continue the daily conversation of equality and systemic racism in the United States.
“I agree with Revolt…this is an unnecessary distraction,” he wrote in a statement on Twitter. “I never meant for that verse to be heard, I was heated in the moment and thought better of it and decided to pull it back. Stuff that I never intended to release continues to leak from the huge WeTransfer hack. I don’t have any issues with Revolt…I’d actually welcome the opportunity to work with them on some positive things and turn this in a different direction.”

In the leaked verse, Eminem says the following things about Revolt: “Yeah, shout to Puffy Combs, but f*** REVOLT / Y’all are like a f***ed up remote / Now I get it why our button’s broke / ‘Cause you pressing the heat but do nothing though / Especially when it comes to punch this throne.”
The network, owned by Diddy didn’t mince their opinion, instead deciding to respond on Instagram.
