XXL points out today (May 18), a Twitter account by the name of @Kurrco noticed that Offset had unfollowed Quavo and Takeoff on Instagram. That’s when rumors erupted online of the group breaking up. It’s not confirmed or denied and a reason, if there is one, isn’t known at the time.
However, the outlet reports trouble could have possibly began when “it was announced that Quavo and Takeoff will be dropping new music as a duo called Unc and Phew, a reference to their familial bond.” The song is titled “Hotel Lobby,” set to drop on Friday, May 20. It’s not clear if Offset wasn’t feeling that move or not. Quavo shared a promo video today. via Instagram. In the caption he wrote, “Road Trip To The Hotel Lobby Friday!”

In. 2017, the Migos earned their first No. 1 song on the Billboard chart with “Bad and Boujee.” They also earned a gold plaque that same year for the single.
In 2018, the trio told spoke about “sticking together,” despite dropping solo albums. Offset said, “This sh*t is just showcase. We just wanted to show the world that it can be done and you still be home team. But the group is for all the sh*t.” That same year, they celebrated their second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 albums chart with Culture II. In addition, they made Billboard chart history, tying The Beatles for the most simultaneous entries on the Billboard chart.
