It looks like what began at Summer Jam is turning into a collaboration for the culture.
Remy Ma wow’d the crowd with a historic performance in June where she brought out MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Lady Of Rage and more.
Cardi B was also one of the women to hit the stage alongside Remy, and with the success of “Bodak Yellow” there could be a hot new collaboration on the way.
“Yes we actually were talking about it last night,” she said on VH1 Facebook Live. “She grabbed me and said ‘We need to do a song together, I’m not playing!’”
She also gave her thoughts on Cardi as a rapper.
“When I first heard her—in this business you see people come in and take this rap thing as a joke, people think ‘oh because I got a fat a** and pretty face I’m gonna be a rapper,” she said. “I just assumed that that’s what it was with her, I actually told her this. And then I saw one day, she was about 17 in high school and she was performing in a talent show in school and it just changed everything. I think she works really hard and she deserves it.”
Oh it’s lit!
