Megan Thee Stallion appeared as a guest on the episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show that aired on October 31st to promote her new track “Lover Girl.” During the interview, she brought up a bizarre incident where she was mistaken for Jennifer Hudson while attending a high-profile event in Italy. Megan recalled: “Jennifer’s security kept snatchin’ me up! They was like, ‘C’mon, we gotta move, we gotta move.’ I’m like, ‘I’m not with you! It’s not me, I’m not her, I promise! But I’ll go with you if you really want me to.’ Your security kept snatchin’ me up, and I was like, ‘Where is my security?’ … Jennifer’s security wanted me to be her real bad that day.”
Hudson responded by sharing a similar mix-up of her own. After a Super Bowl appearance she heard fans shouting “Megan!” and replied, “And I turned around … and I was like, ‘Are y’all serious? You think I’m Megan?’” She described the confusion as “really bizarre.”
Although the two women have distinct careers and styles, the playful overlap of their identities turned into a fun segment full of laughs and surprises. They joked about what might happen if they swapped places for a day, with Hudson imagining she would end up flat on the floor trying Megan’s dance moves.
