Megan Thee Stallion’s legal battle with blogger Milagro Gramz just took another turn in her favor. On Thursday, October 9th, Judge Lisette M. Reid ruled against Gramz after finding that she deleted crucial evidence tied to the case. The judge’s order stated that Gramz erased “thousands of text messages” from her phone even after being told to keep all relevant communications intact.

Court documents reveal that Megan’s legal team had notified Gramz, whose real name is Milagro Elizabeth Cooper, to hold onto both physical and digital records the day before the lawsuit was filed. Still, Gramz deleted messages and even removed the WhatsApp application from her phone, which likely held key conversations. Since the content of those messages can never be recovered, the court said jurors can assume they would have harmed Gramz’s defense.

Judge Reid’s ruling also requires Gramz to cover Megan’s costs for raising the issue of the missing evidence. Both sides now have five days to agree on how much she will pay, including any fees connected to the evidentiary hearing.

The case stems from Megan’s defamation lawsuit against Gramz, filed earlier this year. Megan accused the blogger of spreading false information and working with Tory Lanez’s father, Sonstar Peterson, to fuel a smear campaign against her after the 2020 shooting incident involving Lanez. The rapper claimed Gramz positioned herself as a “mouthpiece” for Lanez and contributed to the online harassment she faced in the years after the shooting.

This is not the first financial penalty issued against the blogger. Back in July, the court ordered Gramz to pay $5,000 to cover Megan’s legal expenses for failing to provide her text messages. The lawsuit also alleges that Gramz circulated a deepfake pornographic video of Megan, which helped push the Houston star to take her to court for defamation.
