Tyler, The Creator has launched a bold new chapter in his career with the release of Don’t Tap The Glass, his ninth studio album — and he’s kicking things off with a visual that blends minimalism, energy, and major star power. The video for his latest single, “STOP PLAYING WITH ME,” is a whirlwind of quirky chaos, featuring none other than NBA legend LeBron James and longtime friend Maverick Carter in unexpected guest spots.
The clip opens with Tyler moving erratically across a bare room, surrounded by towering speakers and torn newspapers fluttering at his feet. Decked out in red and flashing gold grills, Tyler commands the frame with playful intensity. Around the 46-second mark, the tone shifts when LeBron and Carter casually appear by his side, coolly vibing to the rhythm.
Midway through, Tyler spits: “F40, this the brand-new coupe/ Stuff it with b—s, it’s what the f—k I do/ Caught the plane with Mav, Bron there too,” directly referencing their presence in the visual. Cameos from Pusha T and Malice soon follow, adding to the surprise-filled, fashion-forward clip — with all the stars seemingly styled in Louis Vuitton.
Tyler is credited as both the director and producer of the track, keeping his creative fingerprints on every frame. LeBron showed love after the video went live, writing, “STOP FKN PLAYING WITH ME!!!! 😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤” on X, while Pusha T declared, “Ay this s—t so 🔥” via his Instagram Story.
To celebrate the album’s release, Tyler also hosted a secret $5 show in Los Angeles, creating a phone-free, sweat-soaked dance environment. “Everyone was dancing. Moving. Expressing. Sweating,” he wrote. “It felt like that pent up energy finally got released.”
Tyler’s rollout proves once again: when he moves, culture follows.
