Megan Thee Stallion hosted the inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City, raising $1.2 million to support underserved communities. Held at Gotham Hall, the black-tie event honored the rapper’s late parents, Joseph Pete III and Holly Thomas, whose values of resilience, service, and compassion continue to shape her philanthropic vision.

Founded in 2022, the Pete & Thomas Foundation focuses on providing education, housing, health care, and wellness resources to women, children, and seniors. The gala marked the foundation’s first major fundraiser and reflected Megan’s stated mission of using her platform to uplift vulnerable communities nationwide.

The evening blended celebrity presence with civic purpose. Taraji P. Henson emceed the program, with performances by DJ D-Nice and Muni Long. Guests included Lil Uzi Vert, Fat Joe, Tamika Mallory, Angie Martinez, Mysonne, and NBA star Klay Thompson, who appeared publicly for the first time with Megan, sparking media buzz.

Fundraising highlights included celebrity-driven auction items. Thompson donated $50,000 for two Super Bowl LX tickets, while Lil Uzi Vert offered $30,000 for a custom bracelet. Fat Joe added $26,000 for a private dinner at Melba’s Restaurant. Each contribution supported the foundation’s ongoing work in community empowerment.

Megan underscored her personal involvement with the foundation. “If you talk about it, you gotta be about it,” she told VIBE, reinforcing her commitment to direct action. In 2024 alone, the foundation reached over 8,600 people through initiatives such as the Emergency Power Program, the Hottie Walk in Los Angeles, and the national Megan Thee Stallion Day of Service.

The gala also recognized grassroots leaders. Honorees included Pastor Juanita and Rudy Rasmus of Bread of Life, LaTosha Brown of the Southern Black Girls & Women’s Consortium, and MH Boxes founder Mila Henry.

The event demonstrated how celebrity-led philanthropy can generate real impact, positioning Megan Thee Stallion as a force for social change.
