WWE Women’s Champion Liv Morgan has thrown down a challenge to hip-hop powerhouses Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B, inviting them into the wrestling ring. In an interview with Billboard, Morgan and her tag team partner, Raquel Rodriguez, shared their excitement over the idea, saying: “I would love to see Cardi and Meg The Stallion. I think Meg would be incredible… Us versus Cardi and Meg. Make it happen.”
Morgan emphasized that her offer to the rap stars is still on the table. “That offer still stands for them if they want a shot at our newly-crowned championships. I’d love to beat them in my hometown,” she added. Cardi and Megan have yet to respond, but they wouldn’t be the first hip-hop artists to make an appearance in WWE.
Earlier this year, rapper Sexyy Red, a lifelong wrestling fan, showed up on WWE’s NXT. She got into the action, facing off with wrestlers Tatum Paxley and Michin and later twerking for NXT Champion Trick Williams and Je’von Evans before escorting them to their match against Gallus, where her presence contributed to their victory. Sexyy even had a memorable encounter with WWE icon Shawn Michaels, sharing a backstage video of them singing his theme song and celebrating. Reflecting on the experience, she posted on X, “I had so much fun yall!!!”
Michaels himself recently extended a playful offer to Drake and Kendrick Lamar, inviting them to settle their differences in the ring after K. Dot referenced Michaels’ signature move, “Sweet Chin Music,” on his track “Not Like Us.” Michaels took to X, writing, “@kendricklamar, you and @Drake are formally invited to #WWENXT to settle this thing.”
Female WWE star Jade Cargill has also voiced her interest in seeing top female rappers in the wrestling world.
