De La Soul Celebrates 35th Anniversary of ‘3 Feet High’ & ‘Rising’ With Digital Release

De La Soul, the legendary hip-hop crew known for their fresh beats and timeless tunes, is gearing up to celebrate the 35th anniversary of their game-changing album, 3 Feet High and Rising, with a digital release on March 1, hitting all the major platforms.

The special release includes original tracks, previously unreleased “Freedom Of Speak (We Got Three Minutes)” with a lyric video dropping on February 21, hits like “Ain’t Hip to be Labelled a Hippie,” “What’s More,” and “Jenifa Taught Me (12” Version).” Also, two never-before-heard demos from DJ Maseo’s basement: “Plug Tunin’” (Home Demo) and “Freedom Of Speak (We Got Three Minutes)” (Home Demo), all remastered in Stereo and Atmos.

De La Soul’s 3 Feet High and Rising changed the hip-hop game with funky beats, witty lyrics, and innovative sampling, earning a spot in the National Recording Registry for its cultural impact.

De La Soul has been named part of YouTube’s FIFTY DEEP Music Class of 2024, recognizing their contribution to hip-hop and support for Black artists in the industry.

De La Soul is hosting a live chat on Talk Shop Live on February 27, where fans can get exclusive insights on their new album and signed album inserts. On March 3, they’ll be doing an in-store signing at Rough Trade Records in NYC. There’s also a fresh merch collab with Bravado dropping.

De La Soul is hitting The Late Show with Stephen Colbert during the week of March 4.
